Productive Meeting with the Indian High Commission Strengthens Prospects for Collaboration

On 21st October 2025, Villa College hosted a highly productive and forward-looking meeting with representatives from the High Commission of India in the Maldives, marking a significant step toward strengthening academic and institutional collaborations between the two countries.

The Rector and Vice Rector of Villa College were honoured to welcome Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Deputy High Commissioner of India, and Mr. Dashdikpal Nandeshwar, First Secretary (Political), to the College.

During the meeting, discussions centred around exploring potential pathways for partnerships between Villa College and Indian higher education institutions. Both parties expressed strong interest in fostering cooperation in areas that promote quality education, research, and student development.

This engagement reflects Villa College’s continued commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening international cooperation for sustainable development, and SDG 4: Quality Education, by enhancing access and excellence in higher education.

Villa College extends its appreciation to Mr. Gaurav and Mr. Nandeshwar for their time, interest, and support in building future opportunities for collaboration.
